FASTag is a Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology mandatory for all vehicles in India, affixed as a tag on the windshield. It enables instant toll payments directly from your linked savings, current, or prepaid account, allowing seamless travel through toll plazas on National Highways without needing to stop for cash transactions.
The Government of India has authorised 27 banks to issue and manage FASTag accounts. The list of these banks and their customer care numbers is provided below.

For any claim of refund from FASTag, you should call your bank and ask them to assist you through the process.
To apply for a FASTag, you'll need a completed and signed application form, the vehicle's RC, a passport-sized photo of the owner, KYC documents as per category, and a valid driving license. An optional vehicle photo can also be included.
With FASTag, there's no need to stop for toll payments, removing cash handling and the need for exact change. It saves travel time and fuel, links to your bank account, and can be recharged online via card, UPI, NEFT, or net banking. SMS alerts are provided for toll transactions, balance, and statements.
Contact the issuing bank's customer service desk to report the double deduction. They will assess your complaint and initiate a chargeback for the duplicate transaction if it is valid.
Contact your issuing bank's customer service to report the incorrect deduction. They will review the complaint and raise a chargeback for the excess amount if warranted.
