Step 2: When the call connects, choose the correct option to block your card or speak to customer support. 

Step 3: Once your call is connected to customer care, you may ask for details like your registered email ID, date of birth, or address to verify your account. 

Step 4: After verifying your details, you need to confirm the request to block your debit card. 

How to Block SBI ATM Card through SMS?

1. SBI account holders can block their debit card by sending an SMS from their registered mobile number.

1. The format for the SMS is as follows: "Block<space>last 4-digits of card number” and send it to  5676791

For Example: Send BLOCK <Last 4 digits of your card number> to 5676791 from your registered mobile number.

How to Block the SBI Debit Card through Internet Banking?

SBI’s internet banking services can also be used to block a debit card that is lost or stolen. The following are the steps to block a debit card online:

Step1: Login to the SBI internet banking website.

Step2: Click on the ‘e-Services’ tab on the dashboard.

Step 3: Select ‘ATM Card Services’, then ‘Block ATM Card’ from the drop-down list.

Step 4: Choose the ATM card you wish to block.

Step 5: Select the reason for blocking (lost or stolen) and click ‘Submit’.

Step 6: Choose OTP as the authentication method, enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number, and click ‘Confirm’.

Step 7: A ticket number will be sent to you for future reference once the card is successfully blocked.

How to Block SBI ATM Card Using the YONO App?

Here are the steps by which you can quickly block your SBI ATM card by using the YONO app: 

Step 1: First, log in to the "SBI YONO" app. 

Step 2: Go to the "Accounts" section. 

Step 3: Click on "My Debit Cards." 

Step 4: Select your account number, and the card will appear on the screen. 

Step 5: Then, click on the "Block Card" option. 

Step 6: You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number which you need to fill in to complete the blocking process. 

How to Block SBI ATM Card without Card Number? 

In case you forgot your SBI card number, then you need to follow the steps mentioned below: 

Step 1: Go to the official page of blocking a lost or misplaced SBI ATM/debit card online. 

Step 2: Click on ‘Next Step’.  

Step 3: Fill in the details such as account number, country, registered mobile number, and captcha code. 

Step 4: You will get an OTP to verify the details. 

Step 5: Once your details are verified, your issued cards will be displayed on the screen. 

Step 6: Select your missing card and click Submit to block it. 

How to Block SBI ATM Card Temporarily?  

You can also temporarily disable your SBI debit card through the YONO or YONO Lite appin case it got lost or misplaced: 

Step 1: Open the SBI YONO or SBI YONO Lite app and log in using your MPIN or username and password. 

Step 2: Go to the Accounts / Manage Cards section. 

Step 3: Select My Debit Card / Physical Debit Card and choose your account number. 

Step 4: Select the debit card you want to block. 

Step 5: Click on Manage Usage & Limits / Manage Debit Card. 

Step 6: Turn off domestic, international, ATM, POS, and e-commerce transactions, then click Save Changes.
