Form 34
If a vehicle is purchased through a lease, hire purchase, or hypothecation agreement, the RC must include both the financier's and owner's names. RTO Form 34 is used to make these entries. If the original registering authority is different, a duplicate document must be obtained.
Once the entry is made in the registration certificate, the RTO sends a copy of this application to the registering authority and the financier of the vehicle via a registered email.
How to Fill in RTO Form 34?
There are two sections in RTO Form 34. The first section includes details about the vehicle's financier and the registered owner. The second section is an official endorsement of the two parties, lease, hire purchase, or hypothecation agreement. The following are the steps to fill Form 34:
- Start filling out the RTO Form 34 by writing the name of the RTO
- Fill the next blank by writing the vehicle registration number
- In the next blank, mention the name of the registered owner of the vehicle
- Write the full name and address of the vehicle's financier
- Finally, affix the registered owner and the financier's signature and the date
